The money raised from the sales of these cookbook series have helped a great number of needy individuals and families in Karachi, Pakistan and Gujurat, India. The proceeds of the sales helped house homeless people, send poor children to school and give young brides the basics to start their married lives with dignity.
I was approached by the book editor, Nour Yakoob, to create the photographs for the book and organically (excuse the pun) grew into working with Nour and Farida on designing the book.
