I was approached by Ibraaz and Winchester School of Art to design an advertisement for their joint symposium ’10 Years On: Art and Everyday Life in Iraq and Iran’ to go in April’s edition of Art Review magazine.
The initial brief was for the design to be typography-based without an image and I presented a number of ideas without an image but still did one with Wafaa Bilal’s ‘Chair’ image. It was immediately obvious that the design with Bilal’s image was the strongest.
