Another Time

“For us like any other fugitive,
Like the numberless flowers that cannot number
And all the beasts that need not remember,
It is today in which we live.”
— W. H. Auden, Another Time

The photographs are taken while on bus journeys with a pre-focuses point-and-shoot camera. The glimpses are of everyday London from people waiting (for something/one) to those on the move (slowly or rapidly) in their daily chores.

Inspired by my own imagining of an out-of-body experience where I see myself at a bus stop where I would normally take the bus, or the path I would’ve walked if I didn’t decide to take the bus. This self-imagining is occasionally – and accidentally – manifests itself in the reflection in the bus window.
